We had three wonderful Christmas concerts in the church just before Christmas. Have a look at put Concerts page for some pictures and videos of our concerts.
Despite all the challenges of the challenges of the past couple of years, we have achieved and learned so much. 8 students, a mixture of children, teenagers and adults took their graded exams at the Music Club in December and they all did so well - all gaining Distinctions and Merits. This is a great testimony to their dedication and hard work and I am so pleased for them and proud of them as I am of all my students. These students have been having the vast majority of their lessons online this past year.
We had great fun in our Christmas concerts in December. This winter they were online for the first time. We had 4 concerts in total. It was lovely to see all the grandparents, aunties and uncles and exciting that we had relatives logging in from Brazil and Germany.
It's been great to welcome so many new students either online in recent months or in person in the past few weeks, as well as regular students who have been coming for years. It's especially lovely to welcome back students who used to come and want to return to me.
Now we're looking forward to returning to a new kind of normal. Lots of adults and children alike looking forward to taking their graded exams this late autumn.
Don't forget if you need a piano accompanist for your exam in another instrument (violin, cello e.g), I'd be more than happy to assist if I can although it would be much easier for me if your exam takes place during the school day.
Please get in touch anytime, I'd love to hear from you.
