2023 was rounded off by 3 fantastic Christmas concerts in St Michael and All Angels Church. Please have a look at the Concerts page to see photos from the first of these concerts, as well as others from previous concerts or see my Lucy Sansom Piano Teacher Facebook page.
2023 has been another great year with students, children and adults alike, taking their graded ABRSM exams and achieving excellent results. Super well done to them for their hard work and commitment. I am so pleased for them and proud of them as I am of all of my students.
Over the past 18 months I have had the pleasure of expanding my work in schools with now three very different but equally delightful blind children courtesy of The Amber Trust. It's so rewarding to work with these children, to see them experience the joy of music as well as working alongside the excellent staff in these schools.
I love playing the piano for the songs at the end of the Scramblers on the Hill toddler group when I volunteer there on a Monday morning, run by the amazing Sam as well as doing Meli Poppin's Childcare's music group once a week. They are a fantastic group of little ones who love their nursery rhymes and songs.
This past year, I have been visiting some new and very interesting people who are stuck at home either due to age or disability or both. Again, it is wonderful to share the joy of music with these people. Music is amazing therapy for everyone but especially those struggling with illness, loneliness and living with physical and/or mental disabilities.
Don't forget if you need a piano accompanist for your exam in another instrument (violin, cello e.g), I'd be more than happy to assist if I can although it would be much easier for me if your exam takes place during the school day.
Please get in touch anytime, I'd love to hear from you.
